The North Scotland Garden Show will encourage you to look at your daily life a little differently by reminding you, and perhaps enlightening you, to the many things you commonly use which have come directly from plants and trees or as a derivative of them.
- You will have the opportunity to buy some wonderful products either made from things grown or made with a derivative of, in addition to products made to enhance the success of your own garden.
- You are invited to enjoy the workshop from Deeside Willow, the motivational talks and demonstrations given throughout both days, which will highlight journeys into horticulture and forestry, product development and environmental improvements.
- Be inspired by the stunning garden designs installed by established professionals and some just beginning their design career. The design briefs will be detailed on the show Facebook page and gardens will be judged prior to the show opening; will you agree with the judges decision?
- Follow this with a perusal of the plant growers and retailers, adding to your garden beauty. You can leave your plant purchases in the ‘nursery’ for collection later. You can even get some assistance to take them to your vehicle when you’re ready.
- Enjoy the most obvious of grown products by eating from our exclusive VIP dining area hosted by Forrest Catering, Huntly (a particular treat if you have bought VIP tickets), from the fresh, made-to-order, wood-fired pizza van, the very glamorous Donut van or from any of the delicious coffee and cake vans. You might also want to treat yourself to a wee tipple from one (or two) of the alcohol retailers; yes, plants are essential for the production of these too.
There will be parking attendants to direct public to the disabled parking area and the gate attendants will point out the accessible toilet facilities. The site is a purpose built showground on a flat, level area with compacted gravel driveways and the grass areas will be finely clipped for the event.
